Ebony Beckwith, Salesforce’s Chief Business Officer, began mentoring groups offering career-building “real-talk.” She noticed common obstacles and began sharing her advice on LinkedIn.

The response was overwhelming. Some posts reached millions of views and hundreds of comments. She needed a bigger platform and partnered with Salesforce to bring #BossTalks to life.

Launched in May 2021, #BossTalks is a LinkedIn Live video series hosted by Salesforce Chief Business Officer Ebony Beckwith, featuring candid career advice from influential business leaders.

Each conversation covers a common career obstacle, such as imposter syndrome or authenticity. Actionable tips pop up throughout the show to help viewers navigate their own career journeys.

Episodes close with a #MentorMoment, audience questions answered live by Ebony.

The series has been a source of content for Salesforce's The 360 Blog, generating over 13k organic page views. Episode replays are ungated on Salesforce YouTube channels and have garnered over 200k total video views.

The Results

In under a year, #BossTalks became one of LinkedIn's top-performing content series with two seven-episode seasons, a thriving community, and 150k+ organic live video views — and counting.

Additionally, all episodes of #BossTalks were made available to stream on Salesforce+ at launch. The series has been a source of content for Salesforce's The 360 Blog, generating over 13k organic page views. Episode replays are ungated on Salesforce YouTube channels and have garnered nearly 200k total video views.

To deepen our engagement, we launched a Twitter campaign, playing off of the final question in every episode of #BossTalks: “What’s your superpower?” Partnering with Fooji for on-demand social gifting, we sent “real-life” superheroes to visit our community and influencers, including five-time Olympic medalist & Team USA gymnast Nastia Liukin and two-time NBA All-Star & entrepreneur Baron Davis, to deliver superhero-themed watch kits.
